Carolina People is a thirty minute television talk program jointly produced by GE Media, Inc. and Lucky Dog TV Productions airing at 7:00 a.m. weekdays on WFXB FOX 43 in Myrtle Beach, SC. The show is sponsored by the Myrtle Beach Herald.

  • Greg Everett

    Focused on the lives and activities of people living and working in the Carolinas, the program is hosted by Greg Everett. Guests from communities throughout the region discuss current local events, community projects, charitable efforts and other topics of regional interest.

    Greg has devoted his time and energy to serving the community in which he lives and works. He is an active board member of several charities in the region including the Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation and the Horry County Division of the March of Dimes. Greg is also on the Board of the Mid-Atlantic Affiliate of the American Heart Association, serving NC, SC, VA, MD and the District of Columbia. Since 1997, he has served on the Executive Board of the Center on Law, Ethics and National Security at Duke Law School.

    Greg Everett is President and Publisher of the Myrtle Beach Herald, the largest weekly newspaper in the Myrtle Beach area. He is President of Herald Hosting, Inc., a web hosting and design company and President of Herald Real Estate, Inc., a national online real estate referral network. He is Vice President of GOCOM Media, LLC, which owns and operates 3 TV stations in central Illinois.

    Greg is President of GE Media, Inc. and former owner of WFXB FOX43. Since the sale of WFXB in August 2006, the company has focused on its primary asset -- a heavily trafficked domain portfolio of more than 30,000 names, including HeraldRealEstate.com, TheBestOfTheYear.com and MoreLocal.com.

    Greg is a Director of Understanding Corporation, a world leader in reading and writing assessment, comprehension measurement and alignment solutions. He is Vice President of Triple "E" Apartment Management (TEAM), which oversees apartment complexes in Durham, Fayetteville and Wilmington, North Carolina.

    Greg was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina and received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics in 1993 from Wake Forest University. He and his daughter Emma Claire live in Myrtle Beach, SC.

    As the host of Carolina People, Greg’s mission is to highlight some of the special Carolinians living and working along the Grand Strand and to raise awareness of the issues and concerns of viewers within the community.
