    Greg Everett

    As the host, Greg’s mission is to highlight special people living and working in the Carolinas and to raise awareness of current local events, community projects, charitable efforts and topics of regional interest.

    Greg Everett is President and Publisher of the Myrtle Beach Herald www.myrtlebeachherald.com, the largest weekly newspaper in the Myrtle Beach area. He is also President of Myrtle Beach Funeral Home & Crematory www.myrtlebeachfuneralhome.com and of GE Media, Inc., which owned and operated WFXB FOX 43 www.wfxb.com for more than a decade.

    Since the sale of WFXB in August 2006, GE Media has focused on its domain portfolio of more than 10,000 names, including www.thebestoftheyear.com, www.raleighdurhamchapelhill.com and www.morelocal.com.

    Greg is Vice President of GOCOM Media of Illinois, LLC, which owns and operates 2 FOX affiliates (WRSP & WCCU) www.foxillinois.com and a CW affiliate (WBUI) www.wb23tv.com. He is also Vice President of Triple "E" Apartment Management (TEAM), Inc., www.teamincnc.com which oversees apartment complexes in Durham, Fayetteville and Wilmington, NC.

    Greg is an active board member of several nonprofits in the Myrtle Beach area, including the Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation www.hgtcfoundation.org, the Horry County Division of the March of Dimes www.marchofdimes.com and the Waccamaw Division of the American Heart Association www.americanheart.org. Since 1997, he has served on the Executive Board of the Center on Law, Ethics and National Security at Duke Law School www.law.duke.edu/lens.

    For his community service, Greg was honored by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce www.mbchamber.com as its Citizen of the Year in 2007.

    Greg Everett was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina and received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics in 1993 from Wake Forest University www.wfu.edu. He and his daughter Emma Claire live in Myrtle Beach, SC.
